«The Hills of Prosecco Superiore are a heritage to be preserved and enhanced: streams, lakes, caves, family-run wineries, typical taverns, churches, castles, and breathtaking views. This is why, since 2019, the area has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.»
This quote from "Ciao Treviso City guide", written by me for UNPLI Treviso, describes what this unique area in the world offers to its visitors. There are many towns, villages, or cities to visit, including:

CONEGLIANO

The "City of Cima" has much to offer visitors, such as the historic buildings along Via XX Settembre, in the ancient Contrada Granda, where the Cathedral and the Sala dei Battuti are also located. Not far away, a gently ascending path begins, skirting the ancient Carraresi walls, which reveals some remarkable sites such as the Convent of San Francesco and the Church of Madonna della Neve, and leads up to the Castle, the symbol of Conegliano. From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the hilly landscape.
Departure: Scalinata degli Alpini
Duration: about 2 hours

VITTORIO VENETO

The city of Vittorio Veneto was only founded in 1866, thanks to the union of the two ancient centers of Ceneda and Serravalle. It is precisely with the visit to the latter that I will show you one of the most important places of the Serenissima on the mainland. It has largely maintained its Renaissance appearance, characterized by ancient streets and squares, Venetian-style buildings, and the Meschietti, a work of hydraulic engineering from the 16th century. One cannot forget the Cathedral of Santa Maria Nova, which among other works houses the altarpiece by Titian Vecellio.

The fascinating Castrum, on the other hand, is an ancient fortified settlement dating back to Roman times, which can be found just a few steps from the beautiful Piazza Flaminio.

Departure: Piazza Flaminio
Duration: about 90 minutes

FOLLINA

Follina is today one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Walking through its streets we can admire fascinating buildings: Palazzo Barberis-Rusca, Palazzo Bernardi, Palazzo Tandura, and the former Andretta wool mill, a remarkable example of industrial archaeology. These buildings were established around the activity of the wool mills, which for centuries made Follina a very important center for the production of fine wools and silks until the 18th century, when there was a significant reduction in the flow of some waterways.

A visit to the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria is a must, the central element of the village, which, in addition to a wonderful Cloister, houses inside a Madonna and Child between two saints and the patron, painted by Francesco da Milano in 1527.

Departure: Piazza IV Novembre
Duration: about 90 minutes
